What is Operation Front Door?

This housing grant initiative was developed and implemented to assist OEF and OIF combat-wounded and disability-rated Warriors secure and sustain home ownership.

Who is "Troops First Foundation"?

Established in 2008 by Rick Kell and David Feherty, the Troops First Foundation develops, operates and supports a synergistic group of wellness and quality of life initiatives in support of today's military personnel.

Operation Front Door is the Troops First Foundation's newest initiative. It is designed to match funds to assist veterans in purchasing a home.

Many of the troops supported by the Troops First Foundation are classified as disabled—but do not tell them that. These young men and women do not want to be treated any differently. They are not bitter, they do not complain, they just want a chance and need a little help as they work to resume a normal life.

The Next Step: Employment

The next initiatives involve employment. By the end of March 2011, JMA Services will begin the recruiting process around the country, working with VA hospitals and state veteran's organizations to add as many as 1,000 workers to its current business model.

Additionally, JMA is in the process of mirroring its existing business with a new initiative — again, focused on a sustainable solution for our veterans. JMA is investing in and establishing a new division that will specialize in property inspection and property preservation. The goal of which is to create an additional 3,000 jobs and spawn hundreds of small businesses as troops are put to work. This division will also directly support the Troops First Foundation and all of its initiatives.
